What it does

What should reach your phone?

Choose what you want to set up first. You can add more later. Every channel works all three ways: a button tap, an email, or a script request.

  • The anypush inbox: a doorbell ring from Anna at the front door, an urgent overdue alert, a bank email and a failed deploy
  • Choosing what a channel is for: doorbell button, daily check-in, email alerts, or script or app
  • A daily check-in channel: the link to share, a printable QR sign and the daily alert time
  • Quiet hours: notifications pause overnight, while urgent messages and overdue alerts still come through
  • Doorbell button

Anyone with the link taps a button, and your phone buzzes.

  • Daily check-in

For someone who lives alone: they tap I'm OK each morning. You get an alert if they miss the time you set.

  • Email alerts

Get an address to forward emails to. Each one arrives as a phone alert.

  • Script or app

A link your scripts or smart home can call.

Print a doorbell sign.

Every channel includes a printable QR sign. Put it on the front door, the shop counter or the shed. Visitors scan it and tap one big button, and their name and note arrive on your phone.

  • Any phone with a camera can ring it.
  • Visitors need no app and no account.
  • If they mark it urgent, it arrives in red.

Get alerted when an expected update stops.

Some news is an update that never arrives. A daily check-in expects a tap by the time you set; a backup job, a message every night. If nothing arrives, you get one urgent alert. The next message clears it.

A daily check-in for someone who lives alone.

  • Each morning they open the link and tap I'm OK. Your phone stays quiet, and the check-in is saved in your inbox.
  • No check-in by the time you set (11:00 unless you change it), and you get one alert: “No check-in yet today. Last one: yesterday 08:02.”
  • Add the link to their home screen as an I'm OK icon, or print a QR card for the fridge.
  • They need no app and no account. Opening it again the same day shows they already checked in.

anypush is not an emergency service, and the page says so: in an emergency, call 112.

How the daily check-in works

Mom's check-in I'm OK by 11:00 each morning

Mom's check-in No check-in yet today. Last one: yesterday 08:02.

Nightly backup A message after every run

Nightly backup Nothing has arrived for 24 hours.

Reminder: your appointment tomorrow at 10:30

Forward the emails that matter.

Each channel has its own email address. Set up a filter once in Gmail or Outlook, and emails from the school, the dentist or a delivery service arrive as phone alerts instead of unread emails.

When Gmail sends its forwarding confirmation code, it arrives on your phone too.

Free and Plus

Free to start. Plus when you need more.

Free has no ads. Plus raises the limits: more channels, overdue alerts that check more often, and a longer history.

  • Plus is a prepaid pass for 1 month or 12 months.
  • It never renews by itself.
  • It is sold in the app, through Google Play.

On both plans: push notifications, button pages and printable signs, email-to-push, urgent alerts and unlimited devices.

When a pass ends, everything you set up keeps running. History returns to 7 days, and anything new must fit the Free limits.

Questions

What is anypush?

An Android app that turns things into phone alerts. Visitors ring you through a QR doorbell sign, someone who lives alone taps I'm OK once a day, forwarded emails arrive as notifications, and scripts call a URL. If an expected check-in or message does not come, you get one alert.

Does the person who rings or checks in need the app?

No. They open a web page on any phone with a browser, Android or iPhone, and tap one button. They need no app and no account. Only the person who receives the alerts installs anypush.

What happens if someone misses their daily check-in?

You get one alert if there is no check-in by the time you set (11:00 unless you change it). It names the check-in and says when the last one came. On normal days your phone stays quiet. anypush is not an emergency service.

How much does anypush cost?

The Free plan costs nothing and has no ads: 3 channels, 3 overdue alerts that check at most every hour, and 7 days of message history. Plus is a prepaid pass for 1 month (€3.99) or 12 months (€29.99) that never renews by itself: 100 channels, overdue alerts as often as every 5 minutes, and 30 days of history.

Does anypush work on iPhone?

The app runs on Android 7 and up. There is no iPhone app yet. People who ring your doorbell or check in can use any phone, iPhone included, because they only open a web page.

Is anypush an emergency service?

No. Alerts are best effort and a phone can delay or silence them. Do not rely on anypush where a missed alert could put someone's health or safety at risk. In an emergency, call 112, 911 or your local emergency number.

How do I get emails as phone alerts?

Every channel has its own email address. Forward emails to it, for example with a Gmail or Outlook filter, and each one arrives as a notification, with the subject as its title.

How do scripts and smart homes send alerts?

They send an HTTP POST to the channel's URL: plain text, or JSON with title, message, priority and url. Up to 64 KiB a message and 60 a minute per channel; the answer is 202 with the message id. An overdue alert notices a job that stops reporting.

What does anypush store, and for how long?

Messages delete themselves after 7 days on Free and 30 days on Plus. The app has no ads and no analytics, and its crash reports are opt-in. anypush is run by OID4Pay B.V. in Amsterdam under EU data protection law, and the privacy notice lists everything that is stored.
